Santane recently attended Offshore Technology Conference 2017 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This conference was very well attended by Oil and Gas industry and some of the companies that participated included: Petrobras, Barra Energia-IBP, BP, Chevron, Shell, SBM Offshore, OneSubsea, Schlumberger, Total, and more.
Fernando Coelho, Brazil’s Minister of Mines and Energy; Pedro Parente, Petrobras CEO, and keynote speaker Lord John Browne participated in the opening plenary session in Main Auditorium at Riocenter Convention and Exhibition Center
The theme of the event was: “Transforming Today to Power the Solutions of Tomorrow,” and included 160+ high-quality papers, 26 technical sessions, 14 panels sessions, and three topical luncheons covering all aspects of offshore exploration and development.
In addition to the excellent technical program, the conference offered timely discussions on Brazil’s major changes in its regulatory framework and the E&P investment opportunities in the country, including the upcoming licensing presalt rounds.
